Emax

I need help figuring out what the deal is with my SE HD.Some of the 
display promts don't correspond to the stickers that where put on the 
face of the keyboard when it was upgraded to SE HD. In Master the 
sticker says 0- is special and 9- is restore but there is no 0- or 9- 
0ption on the display. Which leads me to believe that I may need to 
upgrade the OS. The display says it's software version 3.1  Also- I 
tried following the directions for formatting the new HD from the SE 
upgrade manual to no avail. I can't acccess the hidden menu 9 from the 
Master section by choosing #9 on the key pad and I can't select the 
drive by holding down transpose and the drive number. I'm starting to 
lose my mind! I've also had no success trying to use EMX to transfer 
sounds or opertating systems to floppy. AAAAAAAHHHHH! -Angelo

You need OS 3.2 for the extra functions in master.
Also to transpose scsi id# you need the PLUS OS!

I have only been able to us EMXP w/ an emax formatted
disk to get the PLUS OS.

If you send me a disk w/ pre-paid return envelope, I
will send you the Plus OS if you have an SE HD , or
3.2 if it's a regular EMAX w/SE upgrade.

Yeah man, it looks like you're running a way older OS, pre HD it would appear.

boot from a different floppy and see what OS you get, you may have several on different floppies.

 Jesse- Thanks so much! Send me your address and I will send you a couple of discs. I'm not sure, but I believe this was an upgraded Emax because it looks like someone put stickers on it to show the added functions. Just to be safe I'd like both OS discs. I should have realized that the discs I was using didn't have the upgrades on it. I spaced and for some reason thought that the OS was coming from the keyboard itself. DUH!  Live and learn -Angelo
