Using CopyQM to Copy the Plus Software...

2006-11-15 by peter_vh01

Hey guys,

As suggested, I have tried CopyQM dozens of time, to no avail. I am
able to get it working perfectly with the 3.2 software, however, when
I try to copy over the supplied Plus image file which is in the files
section of this group....no luck!

Has anyone been able to copy this image? Is the image itself flawed?
Or am I just doing something wrong. I have followed the directions to
the T, and have had no trouble copying over the 3.2 software, so I am
quite confused as to why the Plus version is giving me issues.

Thanks in advance,

- Peter

I used it without problems, but I'm not a good example since I put
that file in the files section :-)
Anyway, Andy succeeded too. See message 3333.
Remember to use a DOS-booted PC, but you probably know this.
I remember CopyQM doing "strange things" on my PC, but I ignored it
(by pressing ESC a few times if I remember well...)

No luck with EMXP + OmniFlop (Win XP)? That should work too. But
again, maybe I'm not the best reference to say this :-)

Good luck

Yep, I was using a DOS based PC. I have also tried EMX, EMXP, and
Omniflop, to no avail.

Any chance someone could send me a disk?

Thanks,

- Peter

Peter,
If you are running Emax 3.2, you will have to upgrade to SE 1.1
before you can move up to the Plus OS. So I think you would need the
loadup the seup.em1 file first.
