Emax

Hello,
I have a Emax II (stereo version).The other day I went to sample
something and set it to primary (mono) and the channel input is
distorted and cuts in and out.Try it in stereo and the one channel (I
think its the left channel) same thing.
This is when I preview the sound (here it through the Emax)that the
sound is distorted.
I have switched cables from channel to channel and its the same
channel that is distorting.
I have sprayed cleaner in the jack and pulled the board out and hit
all the contacts with a solding iron. No luck, still doing it.
Any help would be appreciated.
