Hey folks! I just got an Emax 2 this week!
Model#: 2201
Serial#: 0500654
This place has been a treasure trove already! Thank you for your
existence. Okay, some questions.
Mine is running the latest OS, but is still using the floppy as the be
all and the end all. So, my question is this:
Before I go on eBay and get a 'proper drive', I have an old Teac
FD-235HG hard drive. Can I use this?
the specs are:
"The FD235HGxxx models have the special characteristic of
reading/writing 720K, 1.2MB, and 1.44MB floppy disks.
These models have a fixed configuration (no jumpers) for standard PC
compatible systems.
System requirements:
1.
IBM or PC compatible system
2.
34-pin connector or floppy disk drive controller
3.
34-pin disk drive interface cable
4.
Available 3.5" or 5.25" half-height drive bay
5.
System BIOS support for tri-mode floppy drives
6.
Special hardware to support the 1.2MB format"
I need jumpers, don't I?
Anyhoooo
Thanks
