If it crashes hard that's a load of cash down the drain... On 31 Dec 2008, at 07:21, Rei wrote: > http://cgi.ebay.com/E-MU-SYSTEMS-EIII-EMULATOR-III-SAMPLER-E3- [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Jammie? What do you think about this...? Isn't that a high price for this gear now...? I have a different feeling about it because I used to work on that exact baby: my hands know where to go to what knobs and sliders, etc. The connectors on the back are horribly cheap and you have to un-plug and re-plug the audio ins and outs all of the time. Crazy! I sure did a lot of great work with that unit, though you guys.... Thanks for posting this Rei. Well spotted!! It's a real shame for us guys & gals in the UK, as it's in New York!! I know they only made 1200 of them, and I know it's a fantastic keyboard, but..... It's a beast!!! it's much larger than the EI and EII.....much larger and also much heavier. I have to say, I would love to have it in my studio, but the temptation to take it on tour would be too great, and I know if I did, it would end up getting damaged!! The price isn't bad, but having said that maybe a tad high. Also, the shipping is reasonable, but if FedEx can destroy my Emax II rack, and a couple of vintage Mac's on a 200 mile journey, then I hate to think what would happen to an EIII without flightcase in an aircraft or ships hold !! Shame, as I would love to own one........might have to put the word about in the UK!! I've seen a couple in London, and one in Brighton, but they are not for sale, as the owners love them. At the moment I'm after an Emulator II. I found one in Sound on Sound, and offered well over the odd's, but the seller thought he could get more.....shame :( All the best for 2009!!!
