the transformer is an toroidal and are quieter and more robust the
casing is very large in the emax 1 and the are loads of air vents
i can incorporate cooling but this will ad noise which we dont want
with audio gear
i have incorporated spike surge suppressors and noise from mains
voltage also earth hum removal suppressors and inrush current
limiters for the power switching
