EMXP Errorcode 89

EMXP Errorcode 89

2010-01-11 by emax_dx5

Hello:
I've been searching for older post, but nothing related to this.

After long time, I am trying to format with EMXP some new DS DD disk I've purchased. They work fine into the Emax floppy drives ( I mean I can format, save, load, etc).

I have used EMXP time ago with this same computer with no errors.Now I can format them successfully, but when I try to copy the OS into them, or performing any other operation, I always get the error code 89 (the capacity on the A disk is not supported by emax samplers), as how the disk is not formatted.

I still have to check with other floppies, but in advance, what can it be?. Think these floppies work fine on the Emax drives.

I've updated to the last EMXP version and still the same.

Thanks in advance.

You might need to update to the newest version of Omniflop.

Hi back Jason:;
Thanks for your suggestion. I already did with no success. (I've updated both floppy driver and EMXP to v 2.7).

But I realized it was my floppy drive faulty. I replaced it by a new one and now it works! So the problem is fixed.

Just point that in some situations I need to press enter twice because first time (for instance when copying the OS to floppy, or reading floppy banks) I get error 87 (can access to A drive).

Not a problem, as it always works at the second enter.

Best...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
