readers: im looking at an ad selling an emax II listed as model number 2122.. is that a valid model number or does he maybe have 2212 marked wrong? Wondering what the specs are on that model if it exists. bear with me I tried to look up the model number chart again but couldnt find it. If someone has the info handy id appreciate it. I will inquire with the seller once I have some facts to deal with thanks Matt

Yes, the model number sounds like a typo. I would not rely too much on the model number as an indication of the specifications. Many Emax II samplers will have upgraded RAM, an added hard drive or a change to stereo sampling and some may even have forgotten their options due to EEPROM corruption! /Tristan

Interesting. I just checked mine for the first time and it turns out to be a 2212. So it originally had 2MB? Would it originally have had a hard disk? It currently has 8MB Ram and a +-500MB hard disk, so someone must have spent a large amount of money upgrading it when it was newer. Altogether the amount someone must have paid for it is quite frightening. Its serial number is 10100971. Can we know its manufacture date from this number? Thanks, Daniel
