Hi all, I own an Emax HD, and I just installed the card reader, following Ted Summers'instructions. The problem is that the Emax runs the HD OS 1.1 (not SE). Using EMXP, I can't install the OS on the SD card, because EMXP tells me I have to use the Plus OS. Is there another way to install the HD OS on the SD card? Thanks a lot! Matthieu

When I updated my Emax to the cf drive, I needed to keep a floppy drive installed. After I booted the floppy with the HD OS, I then formatted and transferred the OS to the CF Card. After this was complete, I turned off the unit jumpered the floppy pins and removed the floppy drive. Now my Emax boots from the CF Drive and I can remove the CF drive and add banks to it via EMXP. All works great. That is the procedure I suspected. Thanks a lot! :) I will give it a try. I am still interested in other possibilities. :) --- In emax@...m, Jason Mc <jasonmcdougal@...> wrote:

I will check if I can change this in EMXP, and if it is possible to add support for the OS HD and OS SE HD on removable media. To be honest I didn't even remember that I had built in a restriction to the Plus OS only - after checking the code it seems this was done because I couldn't test/confirm the other possibilities at that time. If the change is small, it will be part of the next version v2.10 (expected in the coming weeks). ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "Matthieu Roche" <roche.matthieu@...> wrote:

Oh, thanks a lot :) That would be a great mod, if it is possible to implement it. EMXP is a great piece of software, very helpful when you have an Emax :) Matthieu --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "esynthesist" <esynthesist@...> wrote:
