They only seem to be some live setup stuff. Most probably a bunch of samples setup like split keyboard. What would you do with this? Hi chaps, Im selling my Emu Emax (original Mk1) rack, seriously upgraded / restored. Unit has been upgraded to full SE specification. It has SCSI interface (internal) which is wired to a Zip drive (sits in place of the old floppy drive). Original disk drive has been removed and replaced with a new reliable Sony "slim" floppy drive, underneath the slim floppy drive is the scsi Zip drive for sample storage, both fit snug- floppy ontop of zip in the original floppy drive mounting position. The original LCD screen has been replaced with a new LED display, which has a black background with white writing ontop, which looks great and has no noise. Also a brand new on/off switch has been fitted. The sampler has been fully recapped, all capacitors replaced with new high temp parts, was expensive to have all these replaced, but it should be reliable for a long time to come! Which is not usually the case with "Ebay" Emax, which usually need lots of work...... All buttons, faders and everything electronically is working perfectly. This unit has been back and forth for repairs and mods over the last year and is now just about as perfect as you'd ever hope to get one. Comes with 5x Zip disks containing the original Emax factory library banks as well as some DD disks with additional sounds. Also has original user manual and rack ears and a spare Sony slim floppy drive exactly the same as the floppy drive installed in the Emax. Unit is in great condition, the only imperfection is a little rust area on the top of the unit, but this is not noticable when bolted into a rack. Really i spent a lot of time and money on sourcing parts and having this upgraded! Classic 12 bit sampler with a great sound much like an SP1200 in rack format dedicated to sampling. Jammie Logan from this group did all the work to this unit and will im sure confirm what an excellent unit this is. Am asking £500 for it. Paypal is OK but buyer must pay the fees. Cheers, Rob.

They are setup completely for tour use. Some sounds transpose over only a couple of keys, others an octave or two. --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "colin.a.ross" <colin.a.ross@...> wrote:

These disks contains the parts Alan played on live. For complete enjoying I recommend play it on 76 keys MIDI keyboard attached to Emax II. You can discover some great surprises. --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "JMP" <jmp70@...> wrote:

Best re-sampling them to improve the loops and extend the key ranges. I re-sampled the best of the sounds into the EII (where they probably came from originally !). --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "jaumemod" <jaumemod@...> wrote:

I tried to reach these hidden parts by transposing up and down octaves for all of the depeche mode presets. I could not however hear any additional samples. I realize that a 76 note keyboard is 2 octaves larger than the Emax 2's 61 note keyboard, however I feal that transposing should have located the hidden samples. Please let me know what is there, and if these samples can be extracted. Tony --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "jaumemod" <jaumemod@...> wrote:
