EMAX (1) Click.....

EMAX (1) Click.....

2002-11-25 by therealdjreal

I can't get the metronome to click on my emax keyboard. I have it
switched to internal, but I don't hear anything. I also tried using
the midi option w/my akai s5000 and still can't get anything.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Orlando

The internal syquencer within all Emax models is a "scratchpad" sequencer. It has no
metronome nor does it do any quantization. It was designed for either free-hand play
parts for later editing on a "real" sequencer or dumping finished sequences into an
Emax from the "real" sequencer using Supermode.

Thanks.
Do you know how I can set up the emax to use the metronome of another
sampler through midi? Do I need to do anything else on the Emax's
side besides set the click to midi?
Thanks again,
Orlando

If you want the emax sequencer start, to be triggered by an external midi
clock: go into PRESET DEFINITION 7:and page through the midi options until
you get to 6. you need to set the midi start to ON. It¹s a bit of apain
working like this as you constantly have to change this setting
When reviewing the sequenced material. Shame ther²s not a footswitch control
for this option. Still you get there.

While on the subject of external controllers , does anyone know if there a
program like sound diver ,or even if, sound diver supports the emax 1?

Not that I can think of. There might be a way, but to be honest it's design really prevents
it from being any real use for composing, (IMHO of course).
