It appears that my 5 1/4 drive died and the OS will not load off of the hard drive. They both spin but nothing happens. Does anyone know of a good replacement for the floppy? Also does anyone on this list sell a mac setup with SD and cable? Just a wild question. Kevin Kelley

If the HDD is running properly the OS should be loaded on it and you should not need to boot from floppy. Most of the time the FDD failure is due to loose connection and dirty heads on the cluster. If in fact there is a problem when you power up it very well could be the HDD (hdd light will flash intermittent pattern). Need to know more specifics on events at power-on... Doug

hi kevin, why don´t you build the macsetup yourself? :D it´s a major fun!! there ´s a lot of information available and old lowend macs are lying almost every pawnshop. i just visited one and they told they had to throw all the macs away because of low asking. what a waste.. -t --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "Doug Berg" <caddyfam@...> wrote: > > --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "Kevin Kelley" <xirin6@> > wrote: > > > > It appears that my 5 1/4 drive died and the OS will not load off > of > > the hard drive.
