EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

hello,

i just received the Audio Units CD from emagic for EXSP24 and EVP73.
 i haven't been able to get anything working (i'm using 10.2.6 on a last rev Titanium).  
i'm interested in using these audio units OUT SIDE of Logic Audio.   i have some basic 
questions. 



1.  can the audio units be used with anything but Logic?  i've tried them with 'Rax' and 
with 'Synth test' which are two bare-bones general purpose AudioUnit hosts with NO 
other features.  needless to say, EXSP24 and EVP73  don't work in either.  

2.  can anyone describe EXACTLY where should the samples be placed, where should 
the programs be placed and where does the Audio Unit LOOK to find things?  my 
experiments to find the answer to this have left me totally baffled...

3.  can anyone propose a SIMPLE test that does NOT involve the application Logic 
Audio, in order to find out whether my two Emagic Audio Units are working?

4.  the Audio Units CD i received is labeled "Update".  does this Update EXSP24 VST 
version 1.6, and all the samples and programs which where included with it?
