I use aliases with the Vienna Symphonic Library for the convenience 
of having the entire library on one drive, programs and all. Not a 
rational thing, but it just seems easier having everything in one 
place.

Hey, you learn something new every day! I've always used command/M to 
make the alias; this saves the step of deleting the first alias if 
the destination folder is on a different drive.
