Strangely when I open up project manager and select an exs file and double click on it,it loads to the exs editor with no prob. As a (slow) alternative, open project manager and highlight an exs instrument. Look on the right side panel and see if everything is red. If so you need to resolve all the file references. Not sure why if it was working, it is not now, but If this doesn't work I'd give Emagic tech supt. a call.
