We were not referring to the sample accuracy. Inconsistent Triggering - simply means that when performing a passage using the EXS24 some note do not trigger or fire or play whichever word you like. This is random and does not occur on same note at the same time - it changes. This is a function of the workability of the software instrument after conversion. You cannot rely of the EXS24 in its present state because of this. This is part of the 'hanging notes - stuck notes' problem as well. I do not see why we should have to go out and purchase yet another Akai conversion software just because EXS24 conversion does not work. This is unreasonable to say the least. When you pay your money (they set the price) you should get what you pay for. > -----Original Message----- > From: Henrik Klagges [mailto:tmp@...] > Sent: Thursday, August 24, 2000 4:13 AM > To: exs-users@egroups.com; logic-users@egroups.com > Subject: [LUG] Re: [exs] Hanging notes & INCONSISTENT TRIGGERING > > > > > > YOU CANNOT RELY ON EXS24. > > > > This is funny, because I currently working on a new song which uses > > about *five* (!) instances of EXS24 in LAWP 4.5... > > and I just measured audio timing with LAWP4.5, AW8, EXS24 yesterday and > man, it is good: > > - It is *really* sample accurate (maybe +-1) > > - triggering is really on the note (e.g., have a beat at 1 1 1 1 on the > EXS and record that sound into AW8 at the same time, the difference is > maybe 5 samples or so. > > Compare that to triggering an external Midi device...
