Is anyone using Chicken Systems Translator?I have had several fascinating adventures with it.Version 2.0 claimed to translate for EXS,but did not.Updated to 2.5,which did do EIII,but not EOS.2.7 worked well for EIII,ok for EOS,but there were many dud instruments.2.8 now features numerous duds for EIII,and EOS derived instruments show up in the EXS with the filter turned all the way down to be inaudible.I must then redo the filter and often the amp envelope manually and re-store the instrument.A particular favorite of mine is the loud clicks at loop points in many instruments. The workaround has been to go from the Emu formats into Akai, then burn an Akai disc image, then use the EXS' own Akai utility(same for Reason NNXT,by the way). This has solved most problems, but some clicking loops remain.I would be interested to know what other folks think, and what their experience with legacy libraries in general has been.In the meantime,I breathlessly await the new wonders to be had from the next Translator update.
