Never actually tried it, but I've wondered if it'd be possible to use 
Touch Tracks to do this? For note messages at least.

The sequence used by Touch Tracks would contain a single note. The 
velocity'd probably need to be 64, and the note length'd need to be as 
long as the longest note you were planning to play.

In the Touch Tracks window you'd transpose each note appropriately, set 
"Velocity" to 100%, "Trigger" to Gate, and "Start" to Next 1/16. Or 
something like that.

Hey, if it works please let us know. I've been meaning to try it for 
ages. If it doesn't, sorry to waste your time.
