Ah, yes, those artifacts are exactly what I'm looking
for. (Electro/Noise, etc.)
Alas!

As for Reaktor, hm.  I just spent for Logic 6 (and 
EXS, hrmph), so I'm not ready to buy anything else 
at the moment.  Free alternatives:  I have an 
Emu Morpheus, which can create some strange 
branching loops, and what about the free software 
synth called Crystal?
