RE: [EXS] Sam Products

Gary,
Are there differences in the programs provided for the EXS on the SAM
website? I just converted them off the CDs using CDXtract and they seem
to
work fine. Any advantages to the Web EXS progs? What I found with
using
either the web lot or the EXS converter is that you get a lot of options
in
one big folder and finding things was not all that easy.

Dear James et al,

The biggest advantage is the use of the "release samples."
Meaning after you let go of the horn you will hear a natural decay.
Otherwise it is pretty much the same. I fell in love with the Sam Horns
when I first got them, did a big soundtrack where I used them on every
cue. And now I swear I here a difference between the exs24 update and
the original giga version. SO I have gone back and reconverted my giga
version and I use that. SO I guess "one man's ceiling is another man's
floor."
