EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I recently purchased VTC's Logic 6 training CD-Roms and it is really, 
really good.  Today I got to the part where George shows how he 
dropped a Soundfont sample into his EXS24 sample folder and Logic 
automatically converts it from Soundfont -> EXS.  Can this be done 
with Akai samples or am I required to use the "import" option?
