It seems to be related only to the TOTAL number of exs instruments (not samples or audio files) in your "sampler instruments" folder. It does not seem to have any relationship to how things are structured internally, or how many folders you have inside, etc... Just the total number of exs instruments can't exceed some number or the whole thing just disappears entirely. The only solution is to go in and remove some that you don't need so as not to exceed this number. -Dan
