I can playback (with the tiny loudspeaker) the particular part of the sample.
No problem. But when I close the sample editor and play my keyboard (or the 
small keyboard on screen) the noise is back again. There is only noise during 
the time the sample should sound.

I' ve made a new instrument with a sound of the EXS standard -samples. And 
also other instruments with AIFF files.
I found out that there appears to be a difference between a aiff-file (which gives 
problems all the time) and a aif-file (which works fine). I thought it was the 
same thing. 
Could this be part of the trouble? 
How do you advise to handle this?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
