  I 've tried again  http://www.oregonsound.com/downloads/LOP%20EXS%20Files/ and indeed the files are in individual subdirectories, but - I don't gett the wave file.
  Or do I misunderstood that there are only exs files and no wave files ????

  Sorry, Hendrikus, I should have better explained the directory structure. 
  The files are in individual subdirectories, and if you're downloading using 
  a browser you'll have to enter the subdirectories and download the exs 
  files one by one. Small files, but a pain nevertheless. I'm no website 
  expert, but if someone can tell me how to make this simpler for browser 
  users I'm open to suggestion.

  If you happen to have an FTP program, you can go to the site and drag the 
  LOP EXS Files folder over in one quick shot. Here are the parameters:

  oregonsound.com
  user id is      guest
  password is  osr1234
