Many people are having this problem.  You'll find a string about it on the
VSL forum.  What they told me was that sequencers in general send out info
that live players don't and the tool was designed for live playing.  One
thing that helped me a bit was to turn off all "Chase" functions in logic.
That way you can be sure very little is going to the VSL tool except note on
and note off.  One sure way to fix it is to record the performance you like,
solo it, and freeze it.  Also, you don't need to reboot.  Just open up the
legato tool and click on the reset button.  VSL says they're working on it,
but the problem is complicated and very deep, so don't hold your breath!
