Unfortunate and inelegant; but this is really the best way to work properly
with drum loops in Logic.

Once you have the tempo set though, you can load the file back in to the EXS
if you want to take advantage of the filters, LFO,s etc. It's unfortunately
a lot of work and steps to go through.
