EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi - I've just purchased Logic and have been very happy with it on
the whole. One problem 'm having though it with the exs sampler and
the time it take to laod samples.

For sample storage, I've got a iomega firewire drive hooked up to my
mac. I'm assuming I need to have exs preferences set to search for
samples on "external volumes", since they are on my external firewire
drive.
The problem is that they take so long to load, 45 seconds to a minute
per patch. Is there any way tp recuding the search/load time? I'd
rather not put them on my internal hard drive... is there another
solution?
