From what you are describing, it sounds like you have a "midi remote" key command accidentally assigned to this function. Look in your key commands window and see if there is a midi remote command associated with this specific function. If so, delete it. As an alternative, just look under the global options menu at the bottom and see if "midi remote" functionality is enables or not. If it is, and you don't need it for anything else; just toggle it off. PS: As far as sidechaing: I use it with ES1, Evoc, the compressor, and noise gate all the time; but I have never used it with the EXS 24. I'd also be interested in hearing some ideas of how people use it specifically with the EXS 24 and in what context.
