I want to purchase some sample CDs. Akai is a sort of standard format so I'm just wondering if people have successfully converted Akai to EXS. Was much tweaking required afterwards? Also, a classical pianist friend of mine came around last night and I asked him to comment on the "pianoness" of a solo piano piece I'd written using Logic and the EXS default piano. He has a pretty discerning ear and said it sounded "a bit" like a piano (bear in mind that he wasn't commenting on the music, only the timbral quality) . His main criticism was of the lower notes. As crude as this sounds, would boosting the lower frequencies help? Would anyone recommend a kick ass piano CD? The EXS default sounds quite good already so I'd be after something that was substantially better. Andris
