EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I may be building a system for use in a theater production, lots of 
orchestral samples played live to augment the orchestral 
players. 

I've used the I/O plug in trick, and it works, but I've found it a bit 
unstable, and setting up any kind of splits or layers is fairly 
agonizing. 

Anyone know if any of this kind of functionality can be expected in 
Logic 7, and when this might show up?

I can't stand even the thought of gigasampler. Come on emagic, 
help us live people out!!
