What a royal pain. Did you save a copy of the re-constructed song before 
adding all the EXS and other instruments? I would think that if the 
corruption is actually within one of the sequences, the bizarre behavior 
would show up even in a song with no audio instruments loaded. If not, I 
would suspect one of the EXS instruments as the culprit. One more 
mind-numbingly boring test might be to try playback after loading each 
instrument into the song one at a time. Or if you're using any third party 
AI's or plugins, they could be causing the corruption. There has been a 
rash of this lately, even with normally stable stuff from 
Spectrasonics---although many of those latest issues were Logic 7 related.
