The Old Lady is 5.35 GB! I don't know what the Yamaha in LP7 was sampled from but the Old Lady was sampled with 12 velocity layers from a well maintained 1923 9ft Steinway, a model that had reached the peak of piano development. To my ears it sounds wonderful. Even though I played piano for years I never played one this good. Yes, I'm saying that the Old Lady sounds better than any acoustic piano I ever played, although I'm the first to admit that I never had access to the very best in concert halls. BTW, the Old Lady group buy is now over. The Emperor (Bosendorfer 290) is still being sold at the 60% discount for another couple of weeks: http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26687 I'm still thinking about this. Anyone who has both care to comment on the advantages of both rather than just the Old Lady? Andris
