Have you disabled any of the modulation routings in exs-24? Have you opened up the exs-24 editor and selected the sample in one of the zones? You can go directly to the sample and play it back in the finder window that pops up. I use that sometimes to see if the sample is okay but there is something wrong with my exs-24 patch. I remember reading about some people requiring to use Exs Manager from Redmatica in order to fix some problems in the Old Lady for exs-24. If I'm not mistaken there is a free limited version that will allow you to fix a problem with white noise playing back (I might be wrong). If what I suggested does not work, you should contact PMI directly (Michiel Post) for some help. I have the Old Lady (in Kontakt format) and it is truly wonderful with lots of character.
