Aaron, have  you tried getting in touch with Andrea at Redmatica?  If you tell him exactly 
what you did and what happened, he has a track record of doing his best.  He's sent me 
detailed EXS-surgery instructions even including jpgs of what the screen should look like 
before or after a given step in the procedure.  And his procedures have worked.
