open it from the settings triangle of the EXS. You have to use the 
stereo version of the EXS obviously.

It will _not_ contain a sample and doesn't need to as an empty EXS 
will produce a sine wave and it's enough to check what I'm talking 
about.

The panning doesn't do what it should, or maybe I'm expecting 
something else, but what it does doesn't make any sense.
