No.

Yes. This is exactly what it means.

However, a couple of things:

- I find timing getting worse when using the EXS that way.
- Soloing doesn't work correctly either anymore. You have to solo the 
track and solo the aux.
- You can't freeze multi-out instruments.

Personally I've gone back to having 8 tracks for a drumset, seems 
more flexible for my workflow.
