But because my L6 folder was in the applications folder, L7 was seeing these instruments twice. > alternatively remove L6 folders from your L7 partition if you don't > have plans to use L6 any longer; I dragged my whole L6 folder out of the applications folder (dragged it to my desktop for now) and that solved the problem. I can now happily have an alias in there of my user sampler instruments folder. And it won't appear twice in my L7 list. Pete, this might be a useful little thing to add into your FAQ: If users want to be able to run both L6 and L7, it is useful to _not_ have the L6 folder located in the Applications Folder. Put all your old "L6" sampler instruments in the User Sampler Instruments folder for L7 to see. Then put an alias of it in the L6 folder. Because the L6 folder is no longer in the Applications Folder, this alias won't muck up your sampler instrument list in L7. Glad to have it sorted out. Does anyone know if it is "safe" to move the L7 Factory Samples to another location, and then just leave an alias of it in the current location? I don't normally keep my samples on my main system drive, and so would like to move the factory ones out. I know this should work, but I'm reluctant to mess with L7's file management locations...... -------- Eli Krantzberg http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com Almat Productions
