 Thanks a lot for the info. Sounds like you have quite a thorough 
knowledge of the subject. I understand what you are saying. Sounds 
like more of a project than I need right now. I guess I was hoping 
for a solution along the lines of a template like Absynth and 
Kurzweil keyboards have. I appreciate the help, none the less.

My original question was:

 I wanted to see if anyone knows how to do non-western tunings with 
the EXS and Logic. Are there templates I can get that are tuned to 
say, an Indonesian Pelog
 scale or Indian Classical modes, or North African Arabic scales,
 etc. I know that some keyboards and some programs do this, but can I
 do it with My Apple/Emagic tools?
