Having had the questionable pleasure of working with Logic 7 for the first time a few days ago, I must say that this new folder location thing along with the inability to use aliases for certain things has got to be the the worst improvement in quite a while. It defenitely doesn't help to keep your system clean and tidy (which allways was very well possible with previous Logic versions). FWIW, I didn't like the other changes (especially cosmetical ones) they did to Logic either. What once was a brilliantly and stylish looking GUI is now coming in some colors making you feel grumpy allready the first time you start it (I haven't tried modifying anything as it wasn't my machine). Apart from the great new plugins (and perhaps some other changes that I haven't had the time to look into as we were recording), Logic 7 felt pretty much like a rather big step backwards. I still want to buy a G5 2x2.x one day (right now I actually have access to them more than often enough, so there's no immediate need), but seriously, Logic 7 made me think whether I really love the program as much anymore as I once did - and it'd be the only reason to buy a Mac. Sorry for the rant, Sascha
