The octave switch of the ESM didn't show up either in Logic 6 but it worked. The solo button still doesn't send visible messages but it is controllable. In this case you know the message from my mail and you can test it: Just take a vertical fader, cable it to the instrument. Set it's parameters to Output: Fader Ch: 2 -1-: 5 When you move the fader in its lower range (0-12) the EXS-parameter should change. I used to have a bank of 127 faders to search and test parameters :) > Could it be that this parameter isn't MIDI controlled > in OS 9? And all the others are? But there can be circumstances where you cannot control a parameter from your keyboard: Automation Quick Acces enabled or an assigned MIDI message in Key Commands. If controlling by an internal fader works but not with an external, these are the areas to check. > Or maybe, the Pitchbend in the EXS doesn't send MIDI, but receives it? > And > if so I should just continue with your instructions and it might work > anyway.... ? I think so and hopefully I am right... Peter Ostry
