Well, if you have a deadline of today, I strongly encourage you to call Emagic Tech Support. If you are in the States, use 10-10-220 because it's so cheap and the hold time could be long.
1) Have you tried bouncing with another song? Could your autoload song be messed up?
2) You could temporarily drag your Logic Preferences file out of the system fold and to the desktop. When you launch Logic it will act like it's launching for the first time and ask some questions (but you don't have to re-auth EXS24). Set up your EXS24 and paste in the midi track for it, but nothing else. Then bounce to disk.
Sometimes the Logic Preferences file gets weird and that's one of the first things emagic will have you do if you call them.. It happened to me once and it fixed everything.
Regards,
Mark

Subject: Re: [exs] oldee to Logic, newbee to EXS24--basic question
Well, yes, I only *wish* this worked, but for some bizarre reason
it doesn't. I must've tried this thirty times before I decided to give
up and post the question to the list. Yes, this should be the way
it happens--but it doesn't and I'm going crazy trying to figure out
why.
Everything else is fine. I'm currently working on sound effects for
an animation company. Everything else bounces/saves/etc.
fine--except when I create something through the EXS24. It just
*won't* allow me to take the sequence I've created, play it with an
EXS24 sample (in this case, a frog sample--I'm making the of
them sing--don't ask. . .), and then save the result so I can get it
out to the client. I'm starting to have "this is what I get for putting
away the hardware sampler and working on the road" thoughts. .
.
There must be *something* not set right *somewhere*, as
everytime I hit bounce on the MF, I get a "nothing to bounce"
message in the bounce window. There *is* quite a bit to
bounce, though, and I'm having a horrible time trying to find out
what's telling Logic there's nothing to do.
Hence my problem. What should work, doesn't. Any
suggestions? I've got to get this figured out by the end of the day,
or I'll have to do one note at a time through the Time and Pitch
Machine and put it all together the long and difficult way
<shudder>. . .
