"Macs simply work" has to be recognised not as an ontological statement - a statement about what is - but rather as an apriori assumption. When confronted by something which might tend to disconfirm the assumption one must simply adjust one's perception. I think this is really the necessary step - we PC guys really need to "get with the program" -- surrender to the greater power of Steve and the Mac. I know you want to. Perhaps it would help if we used this simple phrase as a mantra. Try it. Just sit in the lotus position for 20 minutes night and morning and repeat the magic words "Macs simply work". (Being careful not to share this mantra with anyone else as it may dilute its spiritual power.) Remember the fault is not in reality but in ourselves. Shanti.
