There's an option in ExsManager (Options/Scan/Also scan files without  
suffix) that will make EM recognize these files too.
You can also enable "Fix filename extensions for samples" and the  
samples will be renamed with the correct suffix (.aif, .wav, etc) for  
you automatically.
