My theory is that Logic/CPU must read ahead slightly to correctly manage all the audio. Of course your hardware sampler doesn't need to do this because its responsibilities are far less taxing on its processor. I suppose its a trade off--accuracy for immediate action. Personally, I'll take the accuracy. It never bothered me much once I figured out I should just step back a bar before hitting play. If you're at a live show triggering sequences, start them all on bar or beat 2... Having your computer do the job of everything does have its prices. Well worth it to me though. -Jer From: ythan@...
