Improvements?

2001-07-18 by david@floydsproduce.com

I was just reading about Steinberg's Halion VST sampler. I wish EXS24
had all those features. I'd hate to have to go over to the other side
to get them. Please, emagic, get on the ball. I'm loyal, but hey, only
to a point, I think. Check this out...sorry for the bad formatting...

HALion Features

                    8-/16-/24-/32-bit-file support
2 envelopes with up to 8 edit points
                    2 LFO's
                    Notch / HiPass /LoPass / BandPass / 12 dB and 24
dB Filter
                    Fatness function for "fat" sounds
New navigation tool (diagonal/zoom using a virtual
"Navigation-ball")
                    Sample/Program-List window
                    Easy-to-use keyzone editor (easily create
keyzones, layers and
choose the velocity just by moving the samples)
                    Drag & Drop
                    16 part multi-timbral with own editor; 128
programs
                    12 virtual outputs (4x Stereo/4x Mono)
Full VST integration with sample-accurate timing
Filters and settings can be made individually for
each sample (or
                    globally for the whole program)
Embedded Loop Editor with crossfade, snap to zero,
loop, release
                    loop, loop tuning settings
                    Virtual keyboard for auditioning samples
Modulation / Tune Page for various settings
                    WAV-, AIF-, AKAI-, E-MU-, SF2-, REX-, LMo4
script-import (and SDII
                    - Macintosh only)

feeling a little sick,
