Transposing Samples

2007-08-01 by Exdy

Hey, I'm a brand new user to the EXS24, and I realise that my question is
probably a really simple and an easy thing to fix, but bare with me!

I have a guitar sample that I'd like to use on multiple keys at multiple
tones. I've set up a single zone, ranging an octave, and put the sample as
the root key in the centre. I have successfully set this up so the sample is
indeed transposed on each key, but as I'm sure you're all aware, the length
of the sample is changed too which is an unwanted side-effect.

Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to transpose the sample, bounce
it, change the length with the Time/Pitch machine, save the files and then
add THEM to the separate keys in EXS24?

I'm pretty certain there's an easy solution for this that I'm missing, as I
would imagine that a lot of people require the sampler to work in this
way... Or is this too complex a thing for the EXS24 for to do on it's own?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
