Im running it on a dual 1.6 G4 (was originally a single 800Mhz) and it uses a bit more cpu then 7 did.. At our studio we have a dual 867 that I got brave and upgraded as well. Our mixes that used to use about 50% of the CPUs are now using up about 80 and often they overload now and quit. Was doing a mix last night of a two mic jam we did live, has 5 tracks total, some compressors, and EQ's on some of the tracks.. And that thing was using an entire CPU and then some.. 5 tracks!! Both of the machines also have substandard graphics cards though as well (Logic Studio wants 64MB of VRAM to use the OpenGL features) so that may have some effect on performance as well.. Youre lucky though, youll be fine once your MacBook Pro arrives. The jump in performance from the G4 to the Intel line is like night and day. Since I cant afford a new one soon Im thinking of making my new Dell CoreDuo at work into a Hackintosh hahaha. --- Chris www.monotrematamusic.com www.descentrecords.com
