Akai? Have you looked at the programming of the patch? Is it assigned to the correct sample only playing back the wrong one? I would suspect that it is a problem that has resulted from the conversion of Akai to exs-24. I own the E-mu EOS version and there is a ton of programming that has gone into it. I have not noticed this in my version as yet. However, I am using it in an E-mu sampler and have not tried converting it into exs-24 format via any translation tool (like CDXtract or Translator). Do you have any controllers that you are using while playing back the patch? The E-mu EOS version will bring in different samples (on purpose) when using different controllers. For example, on some presets, if you pitch-bend down, a trill will begin playing, if you bring in modulation the filter will open up and the sample gets louder. Have you tried the same program in an Akai sampler? Do you get the same reslts? If so, you could try contacting Ilio for some help. Good luck with your problem. It would be a shame for you if you couldn't get the most out of this wonderful set. Fernando
