Ah, but a regular on the vanilla logic list if my memory serves... Sorry I just remember your name as it reminds me of Amon Tobin who I've got some tracks off on a Ninja Tune compilation! :-) > First things first, where is the home page for this group? Just the yahoogroups homepage AFAIK. > I am working with Akai samples and I have grasped the concept of the Akai > sample folder and sampler instruments folder... > But, how do you tell the sampler to automatically save the samples in an > alternative folder of your choosing, so that you don't have to manually move > them. You can't do it automagically unfortunately - only the .exs files get put in the named dir during conversion. What I do is to clear the Akai Samples folder before conversion, then copy all converted aiff's into a new subdir where all the .exs files live that I name "aiff samples". This encapsulates the definitions and samples in one manageable tree. This works fine. Oh, and I make sure that the AKAI samples folder is in fact an alias to a directory on my audio drive so that I dont have to move the converted samples between drives after conversion! As for your other questions, you may find some answers at : http://www.pev.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ Where I've been accumulating some EXS/logic FAQ stuff. If not, let me know off the list and I'll see if I have your answers in the stuff I've collated but not added yet.... Its still a very early version so any feedback is appreciated....
