Hi Sascha, I agree with all your points you mentioned - but still have one question concerning the EXS-CD: I never tried to copy it, but I always thought that one can't copy the CD because the key for your authorization which is on the CD is comparable to a hardware key. There should be some non-readable sectors on the CD which one can't copy. Did you ever try to authorize your EXS with your CD-copy? If it works, which CD-burner-program do you use? I also wish to make a copy of mine. gretings, axel --- In exs-users@y..., "Sascha Franck" <saschafranck@s...> wrote: > Of course I know that copying the EXS CD isn't exactly legal (at least from > what the manual says) but I think that by german law you are allowed to have > one security copy - and that's exactly what I've been doing because my > original CD allready doesn't look too pretty anymore, there's allready quite > some scratches on it and I don't want to take the risk of one day finding > myself with a non-working CD, having to wait for a new one, eventually not > being able to use the EXS (which in the meantime became my master sound > modul) for a few days. > > However, I don't know about the legal situation when it comes to using the > EXS on two different machines, but in this case we should compare it to some > hardware synth module.
